Hotel & Resort AI Receptionist India: ₹2/min

A Dvaarik AI receptionist for a hotel or resort in India costs from ₹2 per billed minute of talk time, with no subscription and no minimum volume, plus ₹2,000 per 30 days for the phone number and its first line and ₹1,500 per 30 days for each extra concurrent line — about ₹11,450 a month for a 28-room hotel running 3,975 billed minutes on two lines, and about ₹29,750 a month for a 60-key resort running 11,250 billed minutes on four lines. This page works the arithmetic at real property volumes, sets it against the sixteen named vendors we read on their own pages, and says plainly where a PMS-integrated vendor or a human front office suits you better.

An AI receptionist for a hotel or resort in India costs, with Dvaarik, from ₹2 per billed minute of talk time — from the very first minute, with no subscription, no minimum volume and no lock-in. Add ₹2,000 per 30 days if we supply the phone number and its first line, and ₹1,500 per 30 days for each additional concurrent line, because a hotel's Friday-evening and wedding-season enquiry spikes are a concurrency problem before they are a minutes problem. A 28-room independent hotel handling roughly 1,350 inbound calls and 400 outbound calls a month — about 3,975 billed minutes on two lines — spends ₹11,450 a month once the founding Care Plan period ends, and ₹16,450 a month during it. A 60-key leisure resort with a banquet desk, at about 11,250 billed minutes on four lines and two numbers, spends ₹29,750 a month, or ₹34,750 during the founding months. Every line of that arithmetic is worked out below, including what leaves the credit balance in month one. We publish those numbers at the top because much of this market does not publish them at all. Of the sixteen vendors compared further down this page — every one of them read on its own pages on 21 Jul 2026 — three publish no per-minute rate anywhere, and several of the headline rates that are published turn out on inspection to be volume tiers, quote triggers or self-labelled estimates. A hotelier who wants a rupee figure before a sales call is often not given one. This page is a hotel and resort page, not a rewritten clinic page. The call mix is genuinely different: room availability and tariff enquiries, direct-booking calls that arrive after the front office has gone home, banquet and wedding enquiries, airport transfer requests, check-in and check-out questions, and callers who speak Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi or Marwari-inflected Hindi to a desk that may only speak two of those. Each gets its own section. One boundary stated before any pricing, because it decides whether the rest of the page is relevant to you: Dvaarik has no PMS or channel-manager integration. The agent reads the rates and availability rules you maintain for it, and books into a calendar with slot-locking. It does not read live inventory out of your property management system, and it does not write reservations into it. If your rates change by the hour on a revenue-management engine, read the section on where we are the wrong choice before you read the pricing.

What is not on that list

  • No monthly platform or SaaS subscription.
  • No per-room, per-key, per-seat or per-user fee. A 28-room hotel and a 60-key resort pay the same rate per minute.
  • No commission on any booking or deposit the agent helps collect.
  • No annual contract. Credits never expire, and at zero balance the agent pauses gracefully rather than failing mid-call.
  • No charge to add another agent type later. The seven agents — Receptionist, Leads, Sales, WhatsApp, Instagram, Booking, Payments — draw on one shared credit balance.

The month-one reality, stated honestly

The ₹10,000 minimum first load is a floor sized for a salon or a single-chair clinic. Here is what it actually does at hotel volume.

Month-1 debit from a ₹10,000 loadAmount
Phone number + 1 line, 30 days₹2,000
Care Plan, founding rate₹5,000
Left for actual talk time≈₹3,000 = about 1,500 billed minutes

At the 28-room hotel's run rate of 3,975 billed minutes a month — roughly 133 minutes a day — 1,500 minutes is about eleven days. So for that property the sensible first load is ₹20,000, billed ₹23,600 with GST, which covers the ₹16,450 founding-month total and rolls ₹3,550 into month two. For the 60-key resort below, ₹40,000 (billed ₹47,200), which covers its ₹34,750 first month and rolls ₹5,250 forward.

Note the Care Plan point specifically, because it is the one buyers miss: during the founding first three months the ₹5,000/month Care Plan is debited from the same credit balance as your calls, not invoiced separately. It is not an extra bill. It is ₹5,000 less talk time each month unless you load for it.

What does an AI receptionist cost a resort in India per month, with the maths shown?

Three worked properties. All are invented and sized to be realistic rather than flattering. Minutes are billed minutes, meaning every call is already rounded up to the next whole minute. All talk time is at the ₹2/min Bharat Standard rate. Every total below excludes GST, which is applied when you load credits.

Hotel A — 28 rooms, independent, one city

A tier-2 city business-and-leisure hotel with a restaurant and a small conference room. Forty-five inbound calls a day (1,350 a month) averaging 2.5 billed minutes — availability, tariffs, directions, restaurant timings, airport pickup — plus 400 outbound calls a month at 1.5 billed minutes, being booking confirmations, pre-arrival messages and event-enquiry callbacks. Two concurrent lines, so a second and third caller on a Friday evening are not dropped.

LineFounding months 1–3Month 4 onward
Talk time (3,975 billed min × ₹2)₹7,950₹7,950
Number + 1 concurrent line₹2,000₹2,000
1 extra concurrent line₹1,500₹1,500
Care Plan, founding rate, from the same credits₹5,000₹0 if dropped (optional from month 4)
Monthly total₹16,450₹11,450
Blended cost per billed minute₹4.14₹2.88

Resort B — 60 keys, leisure, weekend-peaked, with a banquet desk

A hill or backwater resort that fills at weekends and in wedding season, sells packages rather than room nights, and runs a banquet and events desk alongside room enquiries. One hundred and ten inbound calls a day (3,300 a month) at 3 billed minutes, because package and venue enquiries run longer than a tariff question, plus 900 outbound calls at 1.5 billed minutes. Four concurrent lines, and a second published number for the banquet and events desk.

LineFounding months 1–3Month 4 onward
Talk time (11,250 billed min × ₹2)₹22,500₹22,500
Number + 1 concurrent line₹2,000₹2,000
3 extra concurrent lines (₹1,500 each)₹4,500₹4,500
Second phone number (events desk)₹750₹750
Care Plan, founding rate₹5,000₹0 if dropped (optional from month 4)
Monthly total₹34,750₹29,750
Blended cost per billed minute₹3.09₹2.64

The fixed component has nearly vanished at this volume: ₹7,250 of numbers and lines across 11,250 minutes is ₹0.64 per billed minute. This is the band where pay-as-you-go is at its strongest against a bundled monthly plan.

Property S — 12-room homestay, and the case against us

Twelve inbound calls a day (360 a month) at 2 billed minutes is 720 billed minutes. Talk time is ₹1,440, plus ₹2,000 for the number and its line: ₹3,440 a month from month four, which is ₹4.78 per billed minute — and ₹8,440, or ₹11.72 per billed minute, during the founding months when the Care Plan is drawing on the same balance.

That is the honest shape of our model at low volume, and we would rather print it than hide it. Our per-minute cost gets worse as your volume falls, not better, because the ₹2,000 number recharge is fixed. Below roughly 1,000 billed minutes a month, look hard at whether you need this at all.

The variant we suggest most often

Before buying full coverage, consider putting the agent on after-hours and overflow only — your front office answers first, and the agent picks up what rolls over plus everything from 10pm to 7am. For Hotel A that might be 900 billed minutes instead of 3,975, on a single line: ₹1,800 of talk time plus ₹2,000 for the number, or ₹3,800 a month from month four. Note what happens to the blended rate: ₹4.22 per billed minute, worse than the ₹2.88 of full coverage, because the same fixed ₹2,000 now sits on a quarter of the minutes. It is a smaller monthly bill and a worse unit rate, and it is often still the right first step.

Run your own numbers against your current missed-call volume with the missed call calculator, or see the full pricing page.

Which India AI receptionist vendors publish a rate, and what does it take to get it?

This is the table the pages ranking for hotel queries do not have. Every figure below was read on the vendor's own page and recorded with the sentence it came from, checked 21 Jul 2026. Nothing here comes from a search snippet, an AI summary or a rival's comparison page — each of those produced at least one false number when we tried them. Every rate below is a general AI voice rate read off a general pricing page; none of them is hotel-specific.

VendorPublished per-minute rateWhat it takes to get that rateChecked
Dvaarik₹2/min (Bharat Standard)Nothing. First minute, no subscription, no minimum volume, no lock-in. ₹2,000/30 days if we supply the number and its first line; ₹1,500/30 days per extra concurrent line21 Jul 2026
Agni by Ravan.ai₹2/min headline, "all-in from ₹2/min"₹2/min appears on the quote-only Enterprise tier, qualified on their own homepage as the "Enterprise volume rate at 10,000+ minutes". The buyable published tiers are ₹2,999/mo (300 min, ₹8/min overage), ₹5,999/mo (1,000 min, ₹6/min) and ₹12,999/mo (2,500 min, ₹4/min). Twilio telephony is passed through separately at roughly ₹0.71/min inbound and ₹1.08/min outbound. Starter is Hindi and English only. Prices exclude 18% GST21 Jul 2026
Scalify Labs₹0.40/minA self-labelled estimate — their own page states "Rates are estimates based on publicly available information and direct conversations. Always get a formal quote." It sits on top of a mandatory monthly plan from ₹15,000/mo, with ₹15,000–₹40,000 one-time setup, a stated minimum engagement of 10,000 minutes/month and a 3-month initial commitment. Voice minutes and telecom are billed separately from the plan. Hindi and English are standard21 Jul 2026
HuskyVoice.AI₹4/minPublished strictly as "Enterprise volume pricing as low as ₹4/min" — an at-volume floor, not an entry rate. The buyable entry is ₹1,999/mo including one Indian number and 100 voice credits at 2 credits = 1 minute. There is no canonical pricing page; huskyvoice.ai/pricing returns Page Not Found, and their own pricing FAQ says pricing depends on call volume, workflows, integrations and setup21 Jul 2026
ConnectAI₹4/min (8 credits/min)Requires a subscription: ₹800/mo standalone, or ₹499/mo as an add-on to their ₹2,499/mo clinic suite. One-time ₹1,000 clinic onboarding fee for new clinics. Pricing is genuinely public with no demo gate. The product is built and marketed for clinics, and their own comparison table claims Hindi and Indian English only21 Jul 2026
VaniAgent₹4.5–5.5/minThe metered tier is a ₹4,999/month plan on top of the per-minute rate; ₹4.5/min is their Vani Ultra voice and ₹5.5/min the Ultra Fast voice. Their unlimited alternative is ₹21,999/mo for 1 concurrency with a 3-month minimum commitment. One phone number included; free trial of ₹200 credits; 27 Indian languages; prices exclude 18% GST. No setup fee is published either way21 Jul 2026
Trikon₹5/min flatNo subscription and no setup fee, and they state the rate covers platform, LLM, STT, TTS, recording, dashboard and transfer. Telephony and DID numbers are billed separately by your own carrier — you bring your own21 Jul 2026
Dhiyo AI Labs₹5/minPublished as a "starts at" floor inside a blog post, not on their pricing page, where all three tiers read "Custom". Their own FAQ says final pricing depends on call volume, setup and workflow requirements. Hindi, Hinglish and English are named; no language count is given. Whether a plan is mandatory is not published21 Jul 2026
Bolna AI6.00¢/min, which their page renders as ₹5.52/minNo subscription; prepaid credits from $10. The ₹ figure is Bolna's own conversion at a hard-coded 92 INR/USD, not an independently priced India rate. Their docs state total call cost = voice processing + telephony + "a flat per-minute fee charged by Bolna on top of your provider costs" — and that platform fee amount is not published21 Jul 2026
Edesy₹4–6/minTheir pricing page publishes "₹4-6 Per Minute". Pay As You Go is ₹6/min plus telephony at $0.07/min, with a ₹500 minimum recharge and no monthly commitment; ₹4/min is the Ultra rate and requires a ₹14,999/mo plan including 3,500 minutes. A ₹20,000 onboarding package is also published, converting to ₹20,000 of credits. Their own comparison tool quotes a different ₹1.50/min for themselves — a figure that appears nowhere on their pricing page, so we do not use it21 Jul 2026
Botsense₹9/min · ₹7/min · ₹5/minThree open per-minute tiers with "No monthly commitment" and "no setup fees" on their AI-calling page. Starter caps at 1,000 min/mo and is Hindi plus English only; Growth caps at 10,000 min/mo; the ₹5/min Enterprise tier routes to a custom quote. Every CTA on the page goes to WhatsApp or sales, not a checkout21 Jul 2026
Aixclerate₹7/minAn overage rate, not a standalone rate — it applies beyond the bundle on plans of ₹9,999/mo (500 min) or ₹24,999/mo (2,000 min). One Indian business number included; extra number ₹699, extra concurrency ₹499, recording ₹0.20/min21 Jul 2026
MyOperatorNo per-minute rate published anywhere₹10,000/mo for the standalone AI voice agent including 2,000 minutes; extra usage is billed "₹8 per conversation", not per minute. ₹20,000 one-time dedicated onboarding, extra users ₹2,000 each, all plans billed annually, GST applicable21 Jul 2026
Sarvam AINo rate published for the agent productTheir conversational-agents page carries no price of any kind and every CTA is "Contact Us". What is public is component API pricing — speech-to-text at ₹30/hour, text-to-speech at ₹15 per 10K characters — so you can price the parts but not the assembled agent21 Jul 2026
SquadStackNo rate publishedTheir pricing page markets "per-minute pricing with no seat fees, no platform charges" but publishes no figure: "The per-minute rate depends on language mix, call complexity, integration depth, and the engagement scale... pricing is shared after the discovery call." A one-time setup fee applies per use-case, amount not stated. The entry tier carries a 90-day commitment21 Jul 2026
Retell AI · VapiUSD only, no India pricing pageRetell publishes $0.07–$0.31/min for the platform stack, excluding telephony; Vapi publishes $0.05/min under a heading that reads "Excludes Model Provider Costs". Neither publishes an INR rate or an India pricing page. Retell does expose India telephony rates inside a country dropdown, but our own repeat reads of that selector disagreed with each other, so we are not printing a figure we could not confirm twice21 Jul 2026

Read the middle column, not the left one. Seven of the sixteen vendors we checked publish no route to placing a call without a monthly plan — Agni, Aixclerate, ConnectAI, HuskyVoice, MyOperator, Scalify and VaniAgent. The two lowest headline rates in this table — Agni's ₹2 and Scalify's ₹0.40 — are not buyable at the number shown: one sits on a quote-only Enterprise tier at 10,000+ minutes, the other is a self-declared estimate layered on a ₹15,000/month plan with a three-month commitment. That is the honest shape of this market, and it is why our claim is about terms rather than about being lowest.

Numbers we found and refused to publish

While researching this page, search results and AI answers offered us a Botsense plan price of ₹9,999/month, a Bolna rate of ₹8–₹11/min, a Sarvam agent rate of ₹1/min and a Trikon rate of ₹6/min. The ₹9,999 string appears zero times on Botsense's own site. The ₹8–₹11 Bolna figure comes from a rival's comparison page and contradicts Bolna's own published ₹5.52/min. The Sarvam ₹1/min traces only to third-party pages, one of them a direct competitor running an attack post. The ₹6 Trikon figure is a stale cached title; all three of Trikon's live voice pages say ₹5. Scalify's blog also publishes estimated rates for Yellow.ai, Ozonetel, Knowlarity and Vapi; those are one vendor's guesses about others and are not in this table. If a vendor quotes you a competitor's price, ask to see it on the competitor's own page.

What do 3,975 minutes a month actually cost at each vendor?

The table above is what vendors publish. This one is what Hotel A — the 28-room property — would pay at 3,975 billed minutes a month on two concurrent lines. The rupee totals here are our arithmetic applied to the vendors' own published numbers, not quotes from them. The inputs are shown in every row so you can check the sum yourself. All Dvaarik figures exclude GST; Agni and VaniAgent publish that their prices exclude 18% GST, and MyOperator publishes "GST applicable", while several vendors publish nothing about GST either way, so check before you compare.

Four things this table does not say

It does not say we are cheapest. Look at the Scalify row and the VaniAgent unlimited row. If Scalify's ₹0.40/min estimate holds at their own 10,000-minute minimum, they land below us per minute at that volume. VaniAgent's ₹21,999 flat tier becomes better than our ₹2/min the moment your talk time passes roughly 10,000 minutes a month, which a large resort in wedding season could reach. What those rows also carry is a plan fee you pay whether or not you use it, setup of ₹15,000–₹40,000 in one case, and a three-month commitment in the other. The claim we will make is about terms, not about the number: ₹2/min from the first minute, no subscription, no minimum volume, no lock-in.

It does not include your telephony everywhere. Our ₹2,000 per 30 days is the number and one line, stated as its own line item rather than buried in a per-minute rate. Trikon, Bolna and Edesy bill telephony or DID separately at amounts that depend on your own carrier and that we cannot compute for you; Agni publishes a Twilio pass-through on top of its plan. HuskyVoice, Aixclerate and VaniAgent include a number. Compare like with like.

Foreign-language guests cost more, on our rate card and probably on everyone's. The ₹2/min Bharat Standard rate covers 22 scheduled Indian languages plus English. A Global voice handling French, German, Japanese or Mandarin for an inbound international guest is ₹4–5/min with us. If a meaningful share of your calls are in a non-Indian language, price your mix rather than assuming ₹2 across the board.

Whole-minute rounding is real, and short calls are where it bites. If your call log shows a lot of 30-to-45-second questions — what time is check-out, do you have parking, is the pool open, where exactly are you — every one of those bills a full minute with us. If your own average call runs around 45 seconds, whole-minute billing costs you roughly a third more than per-second billing would. We bill in whole minutes, we do not offer per-second billing, and we do not claim to.

Which hotel and resort calls does the agent actually handle?

Described mechanically, with no performance claims attached. All property names below are invented.

1. Availability and tariff enquiries

A staple inbound call, and the one with the sharpest configuration boundary. The agent quotes only the rates and availability rules you maintain for it — your published rack or best-available rate by season, your minimum-stay rules, what a package includes. It confirms a hold, sends a WhatsApp with the details, and can take an advance by payment link.

What it does not do is read live inventory out of your property management system, because we do not integrate with one. If your last two rooms sold on an OTA ninety seconds ago, the agent does not know unless your rules account for it. The workable pattern is to give it a protected allotment it may sell from, or to have it take the enquiry and confirm rather than commit. Ask us to be specific about this before you buy; it is the single most common reason we would tell a hotel we are not the right fit.

> Caller: Do you have a double room for the 14th and 15th? > Agent: This is Neelakanta Residency. Yes, for those two nights I can hold a deluxe double at your season rate, breakfast included. Shall I send the details on WhatsApp and hold it for you?

2. The questions that are 40 seconds each and never stop

Check-in and check-out times, early check-in policy, parking, whether you are pet-friendly, breakfast and restaurant timings, pool and spa hours, distance from the station, whether the airport transfer is chargeable, whether you have a lift. Individually trivial, answerable at 2am when nobody is at the desk. Pull your own call log before you buy anything from anyone and see what proportion of your inbound calls this actually is — we are not going to guess it for you.

3. Banquet, wedding and event enquiries

High-value enquiries, and ones that can arrive outside office hours. The agent captures the date, the expected number of guests, the event type, whether accommodation is needed, and a callback preference; sends your venue deck or package sheet on WhatsApp; and books a callback slot with your banquet or F&B manager.

It does not quote an event package price or negotiate one. Event pricing moves with date, pax, menu and season, and a wrong number quoted at 11pm is a problem you inherit in the morning. The default is to capture and route.

4. Group, corporate and MICE enquiries

Same pattern. Capture the enquiry with enough structure that your sales person can act on it — dates, room nights, rate expectation, decision timeline — and route to a human. The agent does not negotiate a corporate rate.

5. Language, the way Indian guests actually call

A resort in Coorg takes calls in Kannada, one in Alleppey in Malayalam, one in Jaisalmer in Marwari-inflected Hindi, and all three take calls in English from people who switch mid-sentence. The agent handles the 22 scheduled Indian languages plus code-mixed Hinglish, Tenglish and Tanglish, switching mid-conversation rather than asking anyone to press a key for a language — which is exactly where a keypad IVR loses a caller. Indian languages and English are on the ₹2/min rate; a Global voice for a non-Indian language is ₹4–5/min. More at multilingual and AI voice agent vs IVR.

6. Advance payments and event deposits

For a direct booking or an event hold, the agent can send a payment link mid-conversation and confirm on receipt. Dvaarik takes no commission on what you collect. That is worth saying out loud on a hotel page, because the alternative channel for the same booking does charge a commission. See payments.

7. Outbound, to your own guests only

Pre-arrival confirmation the day before. Post-stay review requests. Event-enquiry follow-ups. Rebooking last season's guests from your own guest list. Every outbound call identifies your property by name, runs only inside the calling hours you set, and stops permanently for anyone who says stop.

We call only your own guests and enquiries. No purchased lists, no scraped numbers, no travel databases, ever. See outbound calls for how campaigns are structured, and is AI calling legal in India for the consent and DND position.

8. What we deliberately do not offer: the in-room extension

An agent answering the in-room dial-0 for towels, laundry and room service is a different product from the one described here. It depends on mapping an extension to a room, to a guest, to a folio — which is a PMS integration. We route by phone number, not by room extension. If in-room guest services is what you are buying, we are not the vendor.

The OTA-hour gap: why the 11pm call is the one to look at

This is the mechanism that makes the arithmetic above matter. We are describing it as a mechanism and attaching no statistic to it — no booking-uplift percentage, no share-of-bookings-by-phone figure, no revenue-loss number — because we have no sourced figure for any of that and we will not invent one.

The mechanism is this. Your online travel agent listing takes bookings twenty-four hours a day. Your phone does that only while someone is on it. Those two facts are not symmetric, and the asymmetry runs one way.

A guest deciding at 11:40pm has two doors into your property. One is an app that will confirm instantly and take a commission on the booking at whatever rate your contract carries. The other is your landline, which rings out if the desk is unstaffed. The guest is not choosing between booking and not booking; they are choosing between the door that opens and the door that does not. An unanswered direct call is not necessarily a lost guest — it can be the same guest booking the same room through a channel that charges you a commission, or one who calls the property next door.

The same asymmetry shows up in three other places on a hotel's day:

  • The shoulder hours. If your front office is staffed for part of the day and not the rest, every enquiry arriving in the unstaffed window depends entirely on what your phone does when nobody picks up. How many enquiries that is, only your own call log can tell you.
  • The concurrency window. Calls do not arrive evenly. A property averaging forty-five calls a day is not taking a steady two an hour — they cluster, and your own hourly call report will show you where. A call that arrives when both lines are busy costs you the enquiry, not ₹2.
  • The event enquiry. A banquet or wedding enquiry that reaches voicemail is an enquiry you are relying on the caller to repeat later. Whether they do is not something we can put a number on.

What an AI receptionist changes here is narrow and worth stating narrowly: the door opens. The call is answered, the enquiry is captured in a structured form, the WhatsApp goes out with your details, and a human calls back in the morning already knowing the date, the pax and the budget band. That is a mechanism, not a miracle, and it is the whole of what we are claiming.

Check it against your own data before you spend anything. Your telecom provider can give you a missed-call report by hour of day. Put it next to your OTA versus direct booking split. If the unanswered calls cluster in the hours you are closed, the arithmetic on this page is relevant to you. If they do not, it is not, and you should not buy from us. There is a missed call calculator on this site that will do the sum with your own numbers.

Where we are the wrong choice for a hotel or resort

Six situations where another vendor, or a human, genuinely serves you better. This section exists because the rest of the page is only credible if this one is honest.

1. You need live PMS or channel-manager integration

This is our largest real gap and it is a bigger gap in hospitality than in most verticals. Dvaarik has no PMS, channel-manager or booking-engine integration. The agent works from the rates and rules you maintain for it and books into a calendar with slot-locking. That fits a property whose availability is managed on a sheet, a whiteboard or a shared calendar, or one willing to give the agent a protected allotment. It fits badly if your rates are set by a revenue-management engine and change through the day, or if a reservation that does not land in your PMS is a reservation that does not exist. If that is you, buy from a vendor with a native integration to your specific system, and make them name your system out loud before you sign anything.

2. You want the agent to answer in-room extensions

Covered above. Extension-level guest services requires the PMS mapping we do not have.

3. You are a chain with central reservations, an SLA and a procurement process

Our model is a number plus lines at ₹1,500 each per 30 days. It scales to a handful of lines, not to a central reservations office taking twenty-plus simultaneous calls with penalty-backed uptime commitments. MyOperator sells enterprise AI tiers with managed onboarding and account management; SquadStack runs dedicated pods for high-volume programmes. If your procurement needs an SLA, a security questionnaire answered and a named support tier at 3am, buy from a company that has those things. We are one engineer.

4. Your decision requires proof it worked at a comparable property

We have no hotel or resort case study and no published outcome numbers, because our founding seats are still open and we have a hard rule against publishing proof we do not have. There is no booking-uplift percentage and no answer-rate figure anywhere on this site, and there will not be one until we have a property willing to put its name to it. Our only counter is that you can call the live demo yourself and judge the thing directly instead of judging a screenshot. If your owner or board needs a reference property, we cannot give you one today, and you should hear that from us rather than find it out later.

5. Finance wants one flat annual line item

A ₹10,000-a-month plan billed annually is easier to put through an approval process than prepaid credits with a variable monthly draw and a number recharge. Our model often comes out lower on total cost at the volumes worked above — the arithmetic shows where — but it loses on predictability, and predictability has genuine value. If your finance team wants a fixed number, a flat plan such as VaniAgent's ₹21,999/mo unlimited tier is a legitimate choice even at a higher effective rate at your volume.

6. The phone being answered by a person is the product

This is the concession that matters most in hospitality and the one no vendor in this category will make. If you run a nine-room boutique property where a guest calling and getting the owner is the experience you are selling, an AI receptionist on your main line is not an upgrade — it is a downgrade dressed as efficiency. In that case the honest recommendation is to put the agent on the after-hours line only, or on nothing at all. Under roughly 1,000 billed minutes a month, our own fixed ₹2,000 number recharge makes us expensive per minute anyway, as Property S above shows at ₹4.78.

Eleven questions to ask any vendor selling an AI receptionist to a hotel

Take this list to us and to everyone else. The answers separate vendors faster than a demo does.

  1. What is your per-minute rate in rupees, on a page I can read without booking a demo. If the answer is "it depends on your volume", note that they wrote a pricing page without a price on it.
  2. Is that rate buyable today, or is it a volume tier? Ask specifically whether the headline number sits on an Enterprise tier or behind a minimum-minutes commitment.
  3. Is billing per second or per whole minute? If your average call runs around 45 seconds, that difference is worth roughly a third of your voice bill. Ours is whole-minute, and we say so.
  4. Does it read live availability from my PMS, and does the booking land inside it? Make them name your PMS. Our answer is no on both, and you should hold every vendor to the same standard of specificity.
  5. How many calls can it answer simultaneously, and what does each additional line cost? Then ask what happens to call four at 7pm on a Friday.
  6. Is telephony included in the per-minute rate, or billed separately by my own carrier?
  7. What do I pay in month one before a single call is answered — setup, plan, number, minimum load, onboarding, and whether GST sits on top.
  8. What does it cost per minute when the caller speaks French, or Japanese? Ask for the non-Indian-language rate specifically. Ours is ₹4–5/min against ₹2/min for the 22 scheduled Indian languages and English.
  9. Will it quote a banquet or wedding package price on its own? For most properties the right answer is no, and a vendor who says yes without asking about your pricing structure has not thought about it.
  10. Every statistic on your website — which property, over what period, measured how. If it cannot be sourced, discount the page. Apply this to us: we publish no outcome statistics because we have none to publish.
  11. Will you ever call numbers I did not give you? The only acceptable answer is no.

Tell us your problem on WhatsApp at +91 93923 98750 and describe how your property's calls are handled today — which hours the desk is staffed, how many lines you have, and what happens to the 11pm enquiry. If an agent fits, we will say so and quote the numbers on this page. If a PMS-integrated vendor suits you better, we will say that too.

Frequently asked questions

How much does an AI receptionist cost for a hotel in India per month?

With Dvaarik, voice talk time is from ₹2 per billed minute with no subscription and no minimum volume, plus ₹2,000 per 30 days if we supply the phone number and its first line and ₹1,500 per 30 days for each extra concurrent line. A 28-room independent hotel running about 3,975 billed minutes a month across two lines pays ₹11,450 a month from month four, or ₹16,450 during the founding first three months when the ₹5,000 Care Plan is debited from the same credit balance. That works out to ₹2.88 per billed minute, or ₹4.14 during the founding months. All prices exclude GST; 18% is applied when you load credits, so a ₹20,000 load is billed ₹23,600. The ₹40,000 one-time build is free for our 10 founding clients, in return for the Care Plan at the founding rate for the first three months and an honest testimonial plus a short case study after go-live.

What does an AI receptionist for a resort in India cost per month at real volume?

A 60-key leisure resort with a banquet desk, handling roughly 3,300 inbound calls at 3 billed minutes and 900 outbound calls at 1.5 billed minutes — about 11,250 billed minutes a month — pays ₹29,750 a month with Dvaarik from month four. That is ₹22,500 of talk time at ₹2 per billed minute, ₹2,000 for the number and its first line, ₹4,500 for three extra concurrent lines, and ₹750 for a second number on the events desk. During the founding first three months add the ₹5,000 Care Plan for a total of ₹34,750. The blended cost is ₹2.64 per billed minute, or ₹3.09 in the founding months, and the fixed component is only ₹0.64 per minute at that volume. All figures exclude GST, which is applied at 18% when you load credits. These are worked examples on invented properties, not case studies.

Does it connect to our PMS or channel manager?

No, and this is our clearest weakness for hotels. Dvaarik has no PMS, channel-manager or booking-engine integration. The agent works from the rates, packages and availability rules you maintain for it, and books into a calendar with slot-locking, confirming on WhatsApp. That fits a property whose availability is managed on a sheet or a shared calendar, or one willing to give the agent a protected allotment to sell from. It fits badly if your rates are set by a revenue-management engine and change through the day, or if a reservation that is not in your PMS does not exist. If that describes you, buy from a vendor with a native integration to your specific system and make them name your system before you sign.

Can it actually quote a room rate and take a booking?

It can quote only the rates you have authorised it to quote — your published rack or best-available rate by season, your minimum-stay rules and what a package includes — and it can hold a room, send the details on WhatsApp and take an advance by payment link, with no commission taken by Dvaarik on what you collect. Because we do not read live inventory from a PMS, the safe patterns are either to give the agent a protected allotment it may sell from, or to have it capture and confirm rather than commit. It does not quote or negotiate banquet, wedding or corporate package prices at all; those it captures with the date, pax, event type and callback preference, and routes to your banquet or sales person.

Will it answer in Malayalam or Kannada, and what about foreign guests?

Yes for Indian languages. The agent handles the 22 scheduled Indian languages plus English and code-mixed speech such as Hinglish, Tenglish and Tanglish, switching mid-conversation rather than asking a caller to press a key for a language. All of that is on the ₹2 per billed minute Bharat Standard rate. Foreign languages cost more and we would rather say so: a Global voice handling French, German, Japanese or Mandarin is ₹4–5 per billed minute. If a meaningful share of your calls are from international guests in a non-Indian language, price your actual language mix rather than assuming ₹2 across the board.

Can it handle wedding and banquet enquiries that come in at night?

It can capture them, which is usually the point, because an enquiry that reaches voicemail is one you are relying on the caller to repeat later. The agent takes the date, expected number of guests, event type, whether accommodation is needed and a callback preference, sends your venue deck or package sheet on WhatsApp, and books a callback slot with your banquet or F&B manager. It does not quote an event package price and does not negotiate one, because event pricing moves with date, pax, menu and season and a wrong number quoted at 11pm becomes your problem in the morning. If you want a second published line for the events desk, that is ₹750 per 30 days.

Is there a subscription or a lock-in, is anyone cheaper than ₹2 a minute, and how does GST work?

There is no usage subscription and no lock-in on call spend. You load prepaid credits, they never expire, top-ups start at ₹500, and at zero balance the agent pauses gracefully rather than failing mid-call. The one commitment applies only to founding clients: taking the free ₹40,000 build means keeping the Care Plan at ₹5,000 a month for the first three months, optional from month four, with the founding rate locked for six months. On price, we will not claim to be cheapest. Scalify Labs publishes ₹0.40 a minute, but their own page labels it an estimate and it sits on a monthly plan from ₹15,000 with ₹15,000 to ₹40,000 setup, a stated 10,000-minute monthly minimum and a three-month commitment. Agni advertises ₹2 a minute, but their homepage qualifies it as the Enterprise volume rate at 10,000-plus minutes, with buyable tiers from ₹2,999 a month and ₹8 a minute overage. HuskyVoice's ₹4 a minute is an enterprise volume floor, not an entry rate. VaniAgent's ₹21,999 a month unlimited tier beats us above roughly 10,000 minutes but carries a three-month minimum. All checked 21 Jul 2026 on the vendors' own pages. What we claim is the terms: ₹2 a minute from the very first minute, no subscription, no minimum volume, no lock-in. On GST, every price we publish is exclusive of it — 18% is applied when you load credits, so a ₹20,000 load is billed ₹23,600 and a ₹40,000 load is billed ₹47,200. There is no platform fee of any kind.

Restaurant AI Receptionist Cost India: ₹2/min

A single-outlet restaurant answering about 12 missed calls a day runs ₹1,440 of voice at ₹2/min, and ₹8,840 all-in for month one including the ₹2,000 number recharge and the ₹5,000 Care Plan. Here is the arithmetic, and what ten other named vendors publish.

AI Receptionist Cost India 2026

The useful pricing question is not monthly fee. It is cost per answered call, recovered lead, booked appointment, and saved staff hour.

AI Receptionist vs Call Center India: ₹2/min

On pure monthly cost, an AI receptionist is cheaper than a telecaller at every call volume a small Indian business realistically runs — our fixed floor is ₹7,000/month in months one to three against roughly ₹23,000 cost-to-employ. So price is not the interesting question. This page shows the working anyway: verified telecaller salary data, the PF and ESI layer most comparisons skip, published BPO seat rates, our own full price, and an honest section on the work where a human still beats any agent I can build.

Nobody Picks Up After 8pm: 24/7 at ₹2/min

Keeping your business phone answered after hours in India costs ₹2 a minute of talk time plus ₹2,000 every 30 days for the line — so 300 evening minutes a month works out to ₹2,600, with no subscription underneath it. This page does the arithmetic against the fixed monthly bundles most Indian vendors sell, gives you the one test that tells you which model is cheaper at your volume, and lists the published terms of nine providers with the caveats attached.
