IVR Cost India 2026 vs AI Voice at ₹2/min

There is no honest single IVR cost for India. Current public offers use four different meters: a ₹9,500 six-month bundle, a ₹1,000 prepaid wallet, a ₹1,500 monthly minute bundle, and a ₹5,000-per-month plan billed yearly. This guide normalises only the figures that were still reproducible on first-party pages on 15 Aug 2026, then compares them with usage-based AI voice from ₹2 per billed minute.

IVR cost in India currently starts with several incomparable billing models, not one market price. On first-party pages re-read on 15 Aug 2026, Mtalkz published ₹9,500 for six months with 500 talk-time minutes per month; IVR Solutions published a ₹1,000 prepaid wallet with calls from ₹0.50 per answered 60 seconds plus DID rental; Bonvoice published a ₹1,500 monthly bundle with 1,666 minutes; and MyOperator published Sedan at ₹5,000 per month for 10 users while stating that all plans are billed yearly and GST applies. Those are not four quotes for the same product. One is prepaid credit, one is a term bundle, one is a monthly minute bundle, and one combines calls with WhatsApp and user seats. The useful comparison is therefore plan or wallet + included minutes + overage + DID or phone line + seats + tax, with each unit kept separate. For AI voice, Dvaarik's current public starting point is from ₹2 per billed minute, with whole-minute rounding, no voice subscription, ₹0 setup, no minimum volume, prepaid credits that do not expire, and top-ups from ₹500. Phone and social channels are separate recurring charges. The rest of this page shows the working and the official pages behind it.

Current IVR pricing in India, using only reproducible first-party rows

The table deliberately preserves each vendor's native billing unit. Converting everything into a synthetic monthly range would hide term commitments, wallet balances and included minutes.

Mtalkz IVR₹9,500 for 6 months500 talk-time min/month, 1 forwarding number, 6 agents, unlimited channels, multilevel IVR15 Aug 2026

Bonvoice Basic minute bundle₹1,500/month1,666 included minutes, ₹0.60/min after the bundle, unlimited users15 Aug 2026
MyOperator Sedan₹5,000/month10 users, IVR, unlimited in-out calling and WhatsApp; the page says all plans are billed yearly and GST applies15 Aug 2026

The comparison above states the published row-by-row differences; read each row with its source, date, and qualifying notes.

Two rows were removed from the old article rather than silently carried forward. LeadNXT figures were vendor-blog estimates, not a live checkout or rate card. Bonvoice's served page repeats conflicting Enterprise prices of ₹10,000 and ₹15,000, so neither is treated as a current verified Enterprise price here.

What do those IVR plans cost at 500 minutes a month?

A 500-minute example makes the billing shape visible. These are arithmetic illustrations from the published inputs above, not vendor quotes and not tax-inclusive invoices.

Model500-minute arithmeticWhat remains unknown
Mtalkz IVR₹9,500 ÷ 6 = about ₹1,583 per covered month; 500 minutes/month are includedOverage and tax treatment are not stated beside the card
IVR Solutions Basic prepaid500 answered minutes × ₹0.50 = ₹250 usage; add ₹200 Delhi DID or ₹300 Bangalore DID. The ₹1,000 is a wallet load, not a monthly fee, and the page says credits do not expireOther call legs and optional features can use different published meters
Bonvoice Basic₹1,500/month because 500 is inside the 1,666-minute bundleThe served table does not attach a clear tax statement to this row
MyOperator SedanThe label is ₹5,000/month, but yearly billing makes the base arithmetic ₹60,000 for a year before GSTFair-use, number and account-specific call-rate details need the written quote or dashboard

The comparison above states the published row-by-row differences; read each row with its source, date, and qualifying notes.

The subject described in this section: This is why the previous synthetic monthly range was removed. It mixed a wallet, bundles, a vendor-blog estimate and tax into one number that looked comparable but was not.

What does AI voice cost on the same 500-minute example?

AI voice replaces keypad routing with a conversation that can answer, qualify, book or collect details. It usually carries a higher minute rate, so the comparison only works if it also removes repetitive human answering work.

Current first-party offer500 billed minutesScope and caveatRead
Dvaarik direct SaaSfrom ₹1,000 voice usage500 × ₹2; whole-minute billing; ₹0 setup; no voice subscription or minimum volume; phone and Social Plan charges are separate15 Aug 2026
Agni Starter₹4,599 before GST and telephony₹2,999 includes 300 minutes, then 200 × ₹8 overage. Agni's terms state telephony is separate15 Aug 2026
Aixclerate Starter₹9,999 plan price500 minutes, one Indian business number and two concurrent calls included; its current page does not publish the additional-minute rate15 Aug 2026

The comparison above states the published row-by-row differences; read each row with its source, date, and qualifying notes.

The Dvaarik figure is voice usage only. Optional recurring channels must not be hidden inside it: a real phone line and the WhatsApp/Instagram Social Plan are separate. Credits are prepaid, never expire, and top-ups start at ₹500; at zero balance the agents pause rather than create debt.

Why MyOperator AI pricing is now a written-quote comparison

The current MyOperator pricing page labels its Business AI Operator offer AI Team — Custom. Its live canonical markup on 15 Aug 2026 did not publish an AI monthly amount, included-minute allowance or overage rate. The old version of this article quoted ₹10,000 with 2,000 minutes and divided those numbers into a supposed ₹5/min rate; that row is no longer supported by the live page and has been removed.

For a current comparison, ask MyOperator for a written quote naming the plan, billing term, included minutes, overage unit, number or channel charges, onboarding and tax. The public IVR comparison remains possible because the same page still publishes Sedan at ₹5,000/month and SUV at ₹15,000/month, both for ten users, while stating that all plans are billed yearly and GST applies.

IVR versus AI voice: which cost model fits the job?

The products overlap at the phone number but solve different jobs.

RequirementA conventional cloud IVR usually fitsAn AI voice agent usually fits
Route callers to a staffed teamYesPossible, but often unnecessary spend
Play office hours or a fixed messageYesPossible, but an IVR is simpler
Answer open questions from approved business knowledgeNoYes
Qualify a lead or collect structured details conversationallyLimited to keypad/menu designYes
Book, reschedule or trigger a workflow without a human answeringUsually needs an agent or extra integrationYes, when configured for that workflow
Cost shapeTerm, wallet, seat, minute and DID combinationsUsage minutes, sometimes plus plan and telephony

The comparison above states the published row-by-row differences; read each row with its source, date, and qualifying notes.

Choose the IVR when callers only need routing and a staffed team is ready. Choose AI voice when the conversation itself completes enough work to justify the higher rate. If every AI call still transfers immediately to a person, the AI layer is probably not earning its cost.

The quote checklist that prevents a cheap rate becoming an expensive bill

Ask every provider to complete this exact worksheet in writing:

  1. Commitment: monthly, annual, wallet or minimum-volume requirement.
  2. Included usage: minutes, calls or conversations, and whether unused usage expires.
  3. Billing pulse: per second, 30 seconds or 60 seconds; when the meter starts.
  4. Overage: the exact unit and rate after the bundle.
  5. Number and capacity: DID rental, forwarding, channels and simultaneous calls.
  6. People: included users or agents and the extra-seat price.
  7. AI layers: speech recognition, language model, speech synthesis, recording and analysis.
  8. Taxes and setup: GST treatment, onboarding and integration fees.

Then calculate three cases: your quiet month, normal month and peak month. A bundle that wins at full use can lose badly when half its minutes expire. A wallet with a larger opening load can be cheaper over time when the balance persists.

How Dvaarik bills the comparison without hiding recurring channels

Dvaarik direct SaaS starts at ₹2 per whole billed minute for voice. There is no voice subscription, setup fee, minimum monthly volume or lock-in. Credits are prepaid, top-ups start at ₹500, and credits do not expire.

That sentence is deliberately scoped to voice. A phone line is a separate recurring channel when the agent needs a real number and concurrent call capacity. The Social Plan is another separate recurring channel for WhatsApp and Instagram agents and campaigns. Meta bills WhatsApp messaging to the connected business account; Dvaarik adds no markup to that Meta charge.

Agencies, freelancers and developers can sell the platform under their own brand through the white-label programme. Public partner voice starts at ₹2/min on Essential; partner setup and recurring platform fees are ₹0; partners set their own resale prices; and the ₹100 minimum top-up and whole-minute billing apply. Checkout adds the published 18% platform charge and 2.36% payment-processing charge. Phone and social channels remain separate wholesale lines rather than being described as free.

Decision rule: do not compare an IVR minute with an AI minute in isolation

Use total monthly work completed, not the smallest number in a rate card.

  • If the requirement is “press 1 for sales, press 2 for support”, buy an IVR.
  • If a person still has to answer every routed call, include that person's phone time in the IVR model.
  • If an AI agent answers questions or completes bookings, measure how many calls it resolves without transfer and include every phone-channel charge.
  • If the workflow is low volume, start with the quiet-month case rather than assuming every bundle will be used.
  • If a provider's public page contradicts itself, treat the amount as unverified until the written quote resolves it.

The correct answer can be an IVR, an AI agent, or both: IVR for deterministic routing, AI for one defined conversational task, and a human for exceptions.

Frequently asked questions

How much does an IVR cost per month in India in 2026?

There is no like-for-like single monthly amount. First-party pages checked 15 Aug 2026 showed Mtalkz at ₹9,500 for six months with 500 minutes/month, IVR Solutions as a ₹1,000 prepaid wallet plus usage and DID, Bonvoice Basic at ₹1,500/month with 1,666 minutes, and MyOperator Sedan at ₹5,000/month billed yearly. Compare commitment, included minutes, overage, DID, users and tax rather than quoting one synthetic range.

What is the per-minute call charge for an IVR in India?

The subject described in this section: It depends on the plan and call leg. IVR Solutions published ₹0.50 per answered 60 seconds on Basic and ₹0.45 on Premium when checked 15 Aug 2026. Bonvoice Basic published ₹0.60/min after 1,666 included minutes. Mtalkz bundled 500 minutes/month without publishing an overage beside that card, while MyOperator called Sedan unlimited and directed account-specific rates to its quote or dashboard.

What hidden costs should I ask about in an IVR quote?

Ask about the billing term, included usage expiry, billing pulse, overage, DID rental, forwarding, simultaneous channels, users, recording, transcription, integrations, setup and GST. Do not assume a monthly label means monthly payment: MyOperator's current page labels Sedan ₹5,000/month but also says all plans are billed yearly.

Is an AI voice agent cheaper than an IVR?

Not per minute. A conventional IVR can route a call for well under Dvaarik's voice starting rate of ₹2 per billed minute. AI becomes economically useful only when it answers, qualifies, books or collects details that would otherwise take human time. If every call still transfers immediately, keep the IVR.

How much is Dvaarik for 500 voice minutes?

At the public starting rate, 500 whole billed minutes are ₹1,000 of voice usage. There is no voice subscription, setup fee or minimum monthly volume; credits are prepaid, never expire, and top-ups start at ₹500. A real phone line and the WhatsApp/Instagram Social Plan are separate recurring charges and are not included in that ₹1,000 example.

What is MyOperator's current AI voice price?

Its live pricing page checked 15 Aug 2026 labels AI Team as Custom and does not publish an AI monthly amount, included-minute allowance or overage rate. The same page publishes its IVR-capable Sedan and SUV plans and says all plans are billed yearly with GST applicable, but an AI comparison requires a current written quote.

Can I keep my existing business number when moving from IVR to AI voice?

Often, but the method and cost depend on the carrier and provider: forwarding, SIP, porting and a newly provisioned number are different arrangements. Do not assume that keeping the printed number removes the phone-channel charge. Ask the provider to state the routing method, number owner, monthly line charge and concurrent-call capacity in writing.

Does Dvaarik offer a free trial or free credits?

No. Dvaarik wallets begin at ₹0 and there are no free credits or trial balance. Top-ups start at ₹500, credits do not expire, and agents pause at zero balance. The public live demo can be evaluated before funding an account, but it is not a free credit offer.

Is it legal to use an AI voice agent for business calls in India?

Legality depends on the use case, consent, purpose, number series, calling hours, DND status, recording notice and sector rules. An inbound service call is not the same as an unsolicited promotional campaign. This cost page does not provide legal clearance; use the dated compliance sources on the AI-calling legality guide and obtain advice for your exact workflow.

Current Indian IVR pricing cannot be reduced honestly to one monthly range. The reproducible public options checked on 15 Aug 2026 span term bundles, prepaid wallets, minute bundles and annually billed multi-channel plans. Preserve those units, add DID, seats, overage and tax, and model your own quiet and peak months. Dvaarik's comparison point is voice from ₹2 per whole billed minute with no voice subscription or minimum volume; phone and social channels remain separate. An IVR is the better buy for routing. AI voice is worth the higher minute rate only when it completes work that otherwise consumes human answering time.

Compare the current Dvaarik rate card at [/pricing](/pricing). Agencies, freelancers and developers can inspect the public wholesale model at [/white-label](/white-label). Before choosing any provider, request the completed eight-line quote worksheet from this page in writing.
