Train an AI Receptionist India: 20 FAQs

Training a Dvaarik AI receptionist on your business FAQs in India means supplying 20 answers — not configuring software. Dvaarik's founder collects those 20 answers in one sitting, writes them into the agent, and hands it back for you to test before it takes a live call. The one-time build is ₹40,000, currently free for Dvaarik's 10 founding clients in return for the ₹5,000/month founding Care Plan for the first three months and an honest testimonial afterwards. This page lists all 20 questions, shows what happens to the ones you cannot answer, prices the test calls at ₹2 per billed minute, works the month-one credit maths including the ₹2,000 per 30 days number recharge, and sets out what fourteen named vendors publish about knowledge bases, onboarding fees and training.

Training a Dvaarik AI receptionist on your business FAQs means supplying 20 answers, not configuring software. Dvaarik's founder asks those 20 questions in one sitting, writes the answers into the agent, and hands it back to you to test before it takes a single live call. Talk time then runs from ₹2 per billed minute with no subscription and no minimum volume, plus ₹2,000 per 30 days if Dvaarik supplies the phone number. The one-time build is ₹40,000 and is currently free for Dvaarik's 10 founding clients, in return for keeping the Care Plan at the ₹5,000/month founding rate for the first three months and giving an honest testimonial plus a short case study after go-live.\n\nThat framing matters, because it is not the only shape on offer. The self-serve pattern — paste your website URL, let a crawler read it, upload a PDF, edit a prompt — is what vendors like Bolna AI and Vapi publish on their own pricing pages: you get a dashboard and you do the writing. Dvaarik is the other shape. It is an agency build — one engineer writes your agent — so what this page asks of you is decisions, not data entry.\n\nThe distinction is not stylistic. A website crawl only helps if the answers are on your website. If your prices sit on a laminated card at the counter, if Sunday hours are different from the ones printed on your Google listing, and if the real rule about advances lives in your head, there is nothing for a crawler to read. The 20 questions below exist to get those out of your head and into a form the agent can be held to.\n\nEverything on this page is either a Dvaarik figure or a competitor figure read on that vendor's own page on 21 Jul 2026 and quoted with the condition attached to it. There are no industry statistics here, because Dvaarik does not have sourced ones for how Indian businesses handle their FAQs, and will not borrow numbers it cannot show you.

What does training an AI receptionist on your FAQs actually involve?

In the Dvaarik model, you supply answers and Dvaarik supplies the build. Here is the division of labour, line by line, with nothing hidden in the middle.

StepWho does itWhat it looks like
Answering the 20 questionsYouOne conversation, on WhatsApp or a call. Voice notes are fine. Nothing has to be typed
Turning answers into agent behaviourDvaarikThe founder writes the instructions, the refusals, the escalation rules and the booking logic
Choosing the voice and languagesYou decide, Dvaarik configuresThe 22 scheduled Indian languages plus English are on the ₹2/min Bharat Standard rate
Connecting the numberDvaarikEither a Dvaarik number at ₹2,000 per 30 days, or your existing number forwarded to the agent — check with your own operator first, because whether forwarding is available on your line is their decision, not Dvaarik's
Testing before go-liveYouYou call it yourself and try to break it. Test minutes bill at ₹2/min like any other minute
Fixing what the test foundDvaarikIncluded in the Care Plan, which is required for the first three months of a founding build
Changing an answer laterYou tell, Dvaarik changesAgent tuning and behaviour changes are what the Care Plan covers

What you do not have to do

  • No prompt writing. You will never be shown a text box and asked to describe your business to an AI.
  • No file uploads, no CSV, no knowledge-base portal, no per-document fee.
  • No website content project. Your website can stay exactly as it is.
  • No integration work on your side, because there is nothing on your side to integrate with unless you ask for it.

The honest cost of that model

Because Dvaarik builds the agent for you, you cannot edit it yourself at 11pm. If you want a dashboard where you rewrite the agent's instructions the moment you change a price, Dvaarik is the wrong shape and this page says so early rather than late. Vendors whose published model is self-serve give you that control and expect you to do the writing: Bolna AI sells prepaid credits from $10 and publishes no setup, onboarding or implementation fee anywhere on its pricing or docs pages, and Vapi's pricing page is simply silent on setup — the strings "setup" and "onboard" return zero matches on it — while its published hosting rate has model-provider costs passed through on top. Both were read on 21 Jul 2026. That is a real trade in both directions. See how it works for what the build week involves.

What are the 20 questions you need to answer?

These are the 20 answers a Dvaarik agent needs before it can take a call. They are grouped in five sets of four. Answer them out loud in your own words — the writing is Dvaarik's job.

Set 1 — Who you are, out loud

#The questionWhy the answer changes the build
1What exactly should the agent call your business when it picks up?This is the first sentence of every call, including the ones a competitor makes to check on you
2What are your real hours, including the lunch closure and the day you actually shut? The agent needs the true hours, not the ones on the signboard, or it will book someone into a closed shop
3Where are you, in the words a caller would use — the landmark, not the map pin?Callers ask for directions more plainly than any address field allows
4Who is the human, and on what number, when the agent has to hand over?Without this there is no escalation path, and every hard call dead-ends

Set 2 — Money

#The questionWhy the answer changes the build
5Which prices may the agent say out loud, and which must it refuse to quote? Some businesses price on inspection. The agent must know which is which before it guesses
6What is the first visit, consultation or minimum charge? If the agent gets this one wrong it is wrong about money, which is the hardest kind of call to recover
7What does the agent say when a caller asks for a discount?"That is decided by the owner, I will have him call you" is a valid answer. Silence is not
8Do you take an advance or deposit, and how much? This decides whether the agent can send a payment link mid-conversation

Set 3 — Booking

#The questionWhy the answer changes the build
9How long is one slot — 15, 30, 45 minutes? The calendar cannot be built without it, and slot-locking depends on it
10How far ahead can someone book, and how late can they cancel?Sets the boundaries of what the agent may promise
11Which calendar or sheet is the truth, and who else writes into it?If two people book the same slot from two places, the agent gets blamed for a process problem
12What happens when you are fully booked — waitlist, next available, or take a number?Being fully booked needs its own script, or the agent improvises one

Set 4 — Boundaries

#The questionWhy the answer changes the build
13What must the agent never answer, whatever it is asked?Clinical, legal and financial advice sit here, and so does anything you would only say in person
14What counts as genuinely urgent, and what should happen at 2am?Ring your mobile, take a message, or offer the first morning slot. Pick one
15What are the three things callers most often want that you have to say no to?Pre-writing your three commonest refusals prevents the agent improvising them
16What should the agent say when it does not know? The safe default is to say so, take the number, and pass it on. Anything else invents an answer

Set 5 — Reach and record

#The questionWhy the answer changes the build
17Which languages do your callers actually use, including the mixed ones?Indian languages and English are ₹2/min. A Global voice for a non-Indian language is ₹4–5/min
18Which number rings — yours forwarded to the agent, if your operator supports forwarding on that line, or a Dvaarik number at ₹2,000 per 30 days? This is the difference between ₹1,200 and ₹3,200 on the month-4 bill worked out below
19Do the same answers apply on WhatsApp and Instagram DM, or do they change?Chat is ₹2 per conversation over a 24-hour window and often needs shorter answers
20What must be in the record afterwards — name, number, what they wanted, what was promised? This decides what lands in your lead sheet, and it is what you will actually read the next morning

Why 20 and not 200

Twenty is not a measured optimum, and Dvaarik will not pretend it is. It is the working set, and the reason it is enough to launch with is structural: an agent needs a rule for every situation, not an answer for every question. Question 16 covers every question you did not anticipate, and question 13 covers every question you never want answered. Once those two exist, the twenty-first FAQ can be added the week you first hear it asked.

What do you actually have to send, and in what format?

Nothing needs to be typed, formatted or uploaded. Dvaarik collects the 20 answers in whatever form you already have them.

What you haveSend it asWhat Dvaarik does with it
Prices on a laminated card or menu boardA photo on WhatsAppReads them into the agent's quotable list, and marks which ones it may not say
Hours you keep in your headA voice noteWritten as the agent's opening and after-hours rules
A written SOP or staff handbook, if one existsThe documentUsed as the base, then narrowed down to what the agent may say on a phone call
Your Google Business Profile listingThe linkCross-checked against the real hours you give Dvaarik, so the agent is not repeating a listing you last edited two years ago
Past WhatsApp chats with customersScreenshots of a fewThe closest thing you have to a record of the questions people actually ask you
Nothing written down at allThe conversation itselfThis is the case the 20 questions were written for

One sitting, and when it is not

Dvaarik asks for one sitting because 20 short answers is a conversation, not a project. It genuinely takes longer than one sitting when: you have more than one branch with different hours, you have more than one price list, or the person who knows the answers is not the person on the call. In those cases the honest expectation is a first pass, then a second short call to close the gaps — and both happen before anything goes live.

The one thing worth preparing beforehand

Before the call, spend ten minutes on question 15: the three things callers most often ask for that you have to refuse. Refusals are rarely written down anywhere, so they take the longest to put into words — and they are the answers that most affect how the agent sounds on a difficult call.

What happens to the questions you cannot or will not answer?

This is the part of training that has nothing to do with FAQs, and it is the part that decides whether you can trust the thing.

A Dvaarik agent does not improvise. If a caller asks something outside what you supplied, the agent says it does not know, takes the caller's name and number, notes what they asked in their own words, and passes it to you. It does not guess a price, does not invent a policy, and does not agree to something you never agreed to.

SituationWhat the agent doesWhat it never does
A price you told it not to quoteSays the price depends on your assessment and offers to have you call backEstimates a range to be helpful
A question you never coveredSays plainly it does not have that answer, takes the number, logs the question verbatimAnswers from general knowledge
A caller pushing for a discountGives the exact wording you supplied in question 7Negotiates
Anything clinical, legal or financial in natureRefuses and routes to youAdvises, reassures, or offers an opinion
An angry caller who wants a personHands over to your escalation number if a human is reachable, otherwise takes a messageArgues, or keeps trying to book
A caller who asks whether it is a humanSays it is your business's AI assistantClaims to be a person

The questions you did not anticipate become the next round of training

Every "I do not have that answer" is logged with the caller's exact wording. Reading that list after the first two weeks is a useful half hour, because it is an unfiltered record of what your callers want that you have not published anywhere. Those become FAQ 21 onwards, and adding them is a message on WhatsApp, not a project.

Outbound is a separate consent question, not an FAQ question

If you also want callbacks — ad leads called inside 60 seconds, or a follow-up list worked through — the rules are set separately and they are not negotiable: Dvaarik agents call only your own leads and enquiries. Never a purchased list, never scraped numbers, never a cold database. The agent identifies your business at the start of every outbound call, calling hours are set by you, and anyone who says stop is marked and not called again by that campaign. More on outbound calls.

What does it cost to train, test and re-train?

Training itself is inside the build. Testing is billed like any other call, because a test call uses a real minute. Here is every line that can debit your account.

Line itemAmountWhen it applies
One-time build, including writing your 20 answers into the agent₹40,000 list · free for Dvaarik's 10 founding clientsThe free build is in return for the Care Plan at the founding rate for three months and an honest testimonial plus short case study after go-live
Care Plan₹12,000/month list · ₹5,000/month founding rate, locked 6 monthsRequired for the first 3 months, optional from month 4. Covers monitoring, agent tuning and behaviour changes, a monthly report and priority founder WhatsApp support
Voice, including your own test callsfrom ₹2 per billed minuteBharat Standard covers the 22 scheduled Indian languages plus English. Studio HD ₹3/min; Global voices ₹4–5/min; Ultra realtime ₹10/min
Billing granularityWhole minutesA 40-second test call bills one minute. Dvaarik does not offer per-second billing and does not claim to
Chat conversations₹2 per conversationA 24-hour window on website chat, WhatsApp and Instagram text
Phone number + 1 concurrent line₹2,000 per 30 daysOnly if Dvaarik supplies the number. Auto-debited from your credit balance
Call recording+₹0.10 per minuteOptional. Useful during the first fortnight of tuning
Minimum first credit load₹10,000One time, to start. Later top-ups from ₹500, and credits never expire
GST18%, applied when you load creditsAll prices above exclude GST. A ₹10,000 load is billed ₹11,800 — ₹10,000 usable plus ₹1,800 GST
WhatsApp message feesBilled by Meta to your own Meta accountDvaarik adds zero markup

Month one, worked through

Take a business that tests before go-live and then runs a first month at 600 billed minutes — say 12 test calls of about 3 minutes each, then 600 billed minutes of live calls. These are illustrative volumes, not an average of anything.

Month-1 debit from the ₹10,000 credit loadAmount
12 test calls, 36 billed minutes at ₹2/min₹72
Phone number, 30 days₹2,000
Care Plan, founding rate₹5,000
600 billed minutes of live calls at ₹2/min₹1,200
Left on the balance, carried into month two₹1,728

So the real month-one outlay is the ₹10,000 credit load, billed ₹11,800 with GST — not ₹72 of testing. Months two and three debit the same ₹2,000 number recharge and ₹5,000 Care Plan, so at 600 billed minutes the run rate across the founding period is about ₹8,200 a month — which means the ₹1,728 carried forward covers part of month two and the rest comes from a top-up. From month four the Care Plan becomes optional and the same business pays ₹1,200 of talk time plus ₹2,000 for the number — ₹3,200 a month. If your operator supports forwarding your existing business number to the agent, that ₹2,000 disappears and the month-4 cost is ₹1,200.

What a re-training round costs

Changing an answer is a WhatsApp message. Verifying the change is a handful of calls: 15 minutes of re-testing is ₹30 of talk time at ₹2/min. The tuning work itself is what the ₹5,000/month Care Plan covers.

The honest gap in that sentence: the Care Plan is optional from month four, and if you drop it, ask what a change costs before you drop it. Dvaarik will not print a number here it has not committed to. That question belongs on WhatsApp, and asking it early is the correct thing to do. Full terms are on the pricing page.

What do other vendors charge for the knowledge-base part?

Training is one of the places where a per-minute rate stops telling you the truth, because two of the vendors below price the knowledge base separately from the call. Every figure below was read on the vendor's own page on 21 Jul 2026 and is quoted with its condition. Nothing here comes from a search snippet, an AI summary or a rival's comparison page.

VendorWhat is published about training, knowledge bases and onboardingThe caveat that changes it
Dvaarik₹40,000 one-time build, currently free for 10 founding clients. The founder writes your answers in. Tuning and behaviour changes sit inside the ₹5,000/month founding Care PlanCare Plan required for the first three months. Not self-serve — you cannot edit the agent yourself
Agni by Ravan.aiNo setup fee published. Extra knowledge base ₹799 per knowledge base per month; KB live retrieval ₹1/min; Agent Memory ₹2/minThose are add-ons on top of a plan. Starter is ₹2,999/month with 300 minutes and ₹8/min overage. Their advertised ₹2/min sits on quote-only Enterprise, described on their own homepage as the volume rate at 10,000+ minutes
Retell AINo setup fee published. Knowledge Base $8.00 per knowledge base per month, free for the first 10, plus a Knowledge Base add-on of +$0.005/minutePriced in USD only, with no India rate card. Converting it to rupees would invent a number, so this page does not
ConnectAIOne-time ₹1,000 onboarding fee for new clinics. Their pricing page states a clinic is fully onboarded over WhatsApp within 15 days of paymentThat ₹1,000 is their clinic onboarding fee generally, not scoped to the voice agent. The receptionist also needs the ₹800/month subscription (or ₹499/month bundled) plus ₹4/min talk time
MyOperatorDedicated Onboarding ₹20,000 one-time. Their own blog comparison table lists go-live as 1–2 weeks, managedAll plans are billed annually. No per-minute rate is published anywhere; extra usage is billed at ₹8 per conversation
Scalify LabsSetup and onboarding ₹15,000–₹40,000 one-time, which their own ROI worksheet amortises at ₹2,500–₹3,500/monthTheir page labels its own rates estimates and says always get a formal quote. Their headline ₹0.40/min sits on plans from ₹15,000/month, with a stated minimum engagement of 10,000 minutes a month and a 3-month initial commitment
EdesyA ₹20,000 Onboarding Package which their page says converts into ₹20,000 of credits with no expiry. "Custom AI training" is listed as a feature of the ₹4,999/month Max planTheir own comparison widget states Edesy has no setup fee, contradicting the ₹20,000 package on the same site. Treat the official pricing page as the citable one
Aixclerate"Custom AI Training Included" and "Business AI Setup Included" — no amount attached anywhere on the pageThere is no pay-as-you-go entry point. The lowest published cost to use the product is ₹9,999/month for 500 included minutes
HuskyVoice.AITheir pricing FAQ reads: "Are there setup or onboarding fees? None. Setup takes under 10 minutes."Elsewhere on the same site they state pricing depends on call volume, workflows, integrations and setup, and there is no canonical pricing page. Their ₹4/min is published only as an at-volume enterprise floor, never as an entry rate
Botsense"No setup fees" on their AI calling pageOn their separate WhatsApp platform page a one-time setup fee of ₹15,000 (Starter) or ₹25,000 (Growth) is described as required, covering account setup, Meta verification, API onboarding, initial templates, flow setup and training
Bolna AINo setup, onboarding or implementation fee published anywhere on their pricing or docs pages. Self-serve prepaid credits from $10That is an absence of a published fee, not a published zero. Self-serve also means the writing is yours to do. Their standard rate is 6.00¢/min, which their own page renders as ₹5.52 at a hard-coded 92 INR/USD
VapiThe strings "setup" and "onboard" return zero matches on their pricing page — it is simply silent, neither charging one nor publishing that it does notPriced in USD, with model-provider costs passed through on top of the published hosting rate
Sarvam AINo setup or onboarding fee published on any pricing surfaceTheir conversational-agent product publishes no price at all — its calls to action are "Contact Us" and "Try Our Agents"
Dhiyo AI LabsNo setup or onboarding figure published anywhereThe only number Dhiyo publishes is a ₹5/min "starts at" floor inside a blog post, with their own qualifier that final pricing depends on volume, setup, workflow, language and integration
SquadStackStates that a one-time setup fee applies for each use-case, without stating the amountSquadStack is the one vendor on this board that publishes no rupee figure of any kind. Its entry tier is a pilot with a 90-day commitment

How to read that table

Three patterns are worth naming. First, the knowledge base is a metered product at two vendors on this board — Agni charges ₹799 per knowledge base per month plus ₹1/min to retrieve from it, and Retell charges $8.00 per knowledge base per month beyond the first ten plus $0.005/minute. If your FAQs live in a knowledge base, those are per-month and per-minute costs on top of the call. Dvaarik has no per-knowledge-base charge and no retrieval surcharge.

Second, published onboarding fees in this market run from ₹0 to ₹40,000, and the two ends mean different things. HuskyVoice.AI publishes "None. Setup takes under 10 minutes" — though the same site also says pricing depends on setup and workflows, so read both. MyOperator's ₹20,000 and Scalify Labs' ₹15,000–₹40,000 describe someone doing the work for you. Dvaarik's ₹40,000 is the second kind, and it is currently free for ten founding clients — which is a promotional position, not a permanent one.

Third, and this is the claim Dvaarik will actually defend: it is not that ₹2/min is the lowest number in this market. Scalify Labs publishes a lower headline and this page is not going to argue with someone else's estimates disclaimer. Dvaarik's claim is about terms — ₹2/min from the very first minute, no subscription, no minimum volume, no lock-in. See AI calling agent price in India 2026 for the full rate comparison.

How do you check the training actually worked?

Before go-live, you call your own agent and try to break it. Twelve calls of about three minutes is 36 billed minutes, or ₹72 at ₹2/min. That is ₹72 of quality control before a real customer ever reaches the agent, and it is the last point at which a wrong answer costs you nothing.

The twelve test calls worth making

#Test callWhat you are checking
1Ask the most common question you getThe core answer is right, and said the way you would say it
2Ask for a price you told it not to quoteIt refuses cleanly instead of estimating
3Ask for a discountIt uses your wording from question 7
4Ask something you never coveredIt says it does not know and takes your number
5Book an appointmentThe slot lands in the right calendar at the right length
6Try to book at a time you are closedIt refuses and offers a real alternative
7Call outside your hoursThe after-hours rule behaves as you decided in question 14
8Switch language mid-sentenceIt follows you without asking you to repeat
9Ask to speak to a personIt hands over or takes a message, without arguing
10Be rude to itIt stays calm and still captures the number
11Ask a question that is clinical, legal or financialIt refuses and routes, exactly as set in question 13
12Hang up halfwayThe half-finished call still leaves a usable record

What to look at the next morning

Read the records, not the recordings, first. Every call should leave the four fields you specified in question 20 — name, number, what they wanted, and what was promised. A call that ends in a booking but leaves no legible note is a training failure even though it sounds fine.

The first fortnight is where the real training happens

The 20 answers get the agent live. The unanswered-question log gets it good. Reading that log after two weeks tells you which FAQs you never knew you had, and each one is a WhatsApp message away from being fixed. This is exactly what the Care Plan's monitoring and tuning is for during the first three months, and it is the reason those three months are required rather than optional. You can also hear a live Dvaarik agent before any of this — the demo on the pilot page answers in real time.

When you should not train an AI receptionist yet

Five situations where a competitor, a human, or doing nothing serves you better than Dvaarik does. This section exists because the rest of the page is only credible if this one is honest.

1. Nobody in your business will own the answers

If the 20 questions would need three people to agree and none of them will sit for the call, the build stalls and you will blame the agent for it. This is a decision-making problem, not a technology problem, and buying software will not fix it.

2. Your prices genuinely are negotiated every time

Some businesses price on inspection, on relationship, or on how the season is going. An agent can handle that — question 5 exists precisely for it — but if every answer is "it depends, let me see", then the agent is only taking messages. That is still worth ₹2 a minute to some owners and worth nothing to others. Judge it honestly before you pay for a build.

3. You want to edit the agent yourself

Dvaarik is not self-serve. If you want to log in and rewrite the instructions the moment you change a price, the published self-serve options in this market are the right shape for you: Bolna AI publishes prepaid credits from $10 with no setup fee published anywhere on its pricing or docs pages, and Vapi publishes a usage-based hosting rate with model-provider costs passed through on top. Both expect you to do the writing that Dvaarik does for you.

4. Your answers already live inside software you need it to read

Dvaarik's booking is calendar-based with slot-locking. If your prices, availability and customer history live inside a clinic management system, a dealer management system or an ERP, and the agent would have to read from it live, ask about integration before you commit — and if it is not there, buy from a vendor with the specific integration. Retyping is not a workflow.

5. You have a receptionist who is not busy

If someone already answers every call inside three rings, the honest answer is that you do not need this yet. The case for an AI receptionist is strongest when the phone rings during work you cannot put down, after 8pm, on a holiday, or twice at once. If none of those is a live problem in your business, this is a purchase looking for a justification. See should I hire a receptionist or use AI for that comparison worked through properly.

And one note on predictability

A flat monthly plan is easier to approve than prepaid credits with a ₹10,000 first load, a ₹2,000 number recharge and a Care Plan debit from the same balance. Dvaarik's model gives you a rate that does not depend on hitting a volume, and loses on simplicity. If the person approving the spend wants one unchanging line item, a flat plan is a legitimate choice and this page is not going to argue otherwise.

Questions to ask any vendor about training, including this one

Take this list to Dvaarik and to everyone else. The answers separate a built agent from a template faster than any demo will.

  1. Who writes the agent's instructions — you or me? If the answer is "you, in our dashboard", price your own time into the comparison.
  2. Is there a per-knowledge-base charge, and a charge to read from it during a call? Two vendors on the table above publish exactly that: ₹799 per knowledge base per month plus ₹1/min at Agni, and $8.00 per knowledge base per month beyond the first ten plus $0.005/minute at Retell AI.
  3. What is the one-time onboarding fee, in rupees, on a page I can read without booking a demo? Published figures in this market run from ₹0 to ₹40,000, and one vendor — SquadStack — states a per-use-case setup fee without ever stating the amount.
  4. What does the agent say when it does not know something? Ask for the literal sentence. "It handles it intelligently" is not an answer.
  5. Show me the log of questions it could not answer. If a vendor cannot show you that log, they cannot show you how the agent improves.
  6. What does it cost to change an answer in month five? Ask before you sign, not after the price list changes.
  7. Do my test calls bill like real calls? At Dvaarik they do — 36 billed minutes of testing is ₹72 at ₹2/min, and this page says so rather than pretending testing is free.
  8. Is the per-minute rate available on my first minute, or only above a volume threshold? Agni's ₹2/min is published as its Enterprise volume rate at 10,000+ minutes, and HuskyVoice.AI's ₹4/min is published as an at-volume enterprise floor — neither is an entry rate.
  9. Is there a monthly plan underneath the per-minute rate? Five vendors on the table above — Agni, Aixclerate, ConnectAI, MyOperator and HuskyVoice.AI — publish a monthly plan as the route to using the product.
  10. Will it call numbers I did not give you? The only acceptable answer is no.
  11. Where do WhatsApp fees land — on your invoice with a markup, or on my own Meta account? At Dvaarik, Meta bills your own account and Dvaarik adds zero markup.
  12. Who fixes it at 9pm when it mishandles a call? A named person is a better answer than a support tier. At Dvaarik it is one engineer, which is both the honest strength and the honest limit of the model.

The cost, once more, without the argument around it

Twenty answers from you. The build written by Dvaarik — ₹40,000 one-time, currently free for the 10 founding clients in return for the ₹5,000/month founding Care Plan for three months and an honest testimonial plus short case study after go-live. Then ₹2 per billed minute on Bharat Standard covering the 22 scheduled Indian languages and English, whole-minute billing, no subscription, no minimum volume, no lock-in, plus ₹2,000 per 30 days if Dvaarik supplies the number. A business running 600 billed minutes a month pays about ₹8,200 a month across the three founding Care Plan months and about ₹3,200 a month from month four. All prices exclude GST, charged at 18% when credits are loaded.

Tell us your problem — WhatsApp +91 93923 98750 and answer question 15 first: the three things your callers most often want that you have to refuse. If a Dvaarik agent fits, you will get the numbers on this page. If a self-serve tool or a person suits you better, you will be told that instead.

Frequently asked questions

How do I train an AI receptionist on my business FAQs in India?

With Dvaarik you answer 20 questions and Dvaarik writes them into the agent — there is no prompt to write, no document to upload and no knowledge-base portal to manage. The 20 cover who you are out loud, your real hours, your escalation number, which prices may be quoted and which must be refused, deposits and discounts, slot length and cancellation rules, which calendar is the truth, what must never be answered, what counts as urgent at 2am, what the agent says when it does not know, which languages your callers use, and what has to appear in the record afterwards. Voice notes and a photo of your price card are acceptable inputs. Dvaarik asks for those answers in one sitting; multi-branch businesses or ones with several price lists usually need a short second call. You then test the agent yourself before it takes a live call, and test minutes bill at ₹2 each like any other minute.

Do I need to write a script or upload documents to train it?

No. Dvaarik is an agency build rather than self-serve software, so the founder writes the agent's instructions, refusals, escalation rules and booking logic from your answers. You will never be shown a text box and asked to describe your business to an AI. If you already have a written SOP or staff handbook, sending it helps and Dvaarik will narrow it down to what may be said on a phone call. If you have nothing written down at all, the 20 questions exist for exactly that case. The trade is real in both directions: because Dvaarik builds it for you, you cannot log in and edit the agent yourself. Vendors whose published model is self-serve give you that control and expect you to do the writing — Bolna AI publishes prepaid credits from $10 with no setup fee published anywhere on its pricing or docs pages, and Vapi's pricing page is silent on setup and passes model-provider costs through on top of its published hosting rate.

What happens when a customer asks the AI something I never trained it on?

A Dvaarik agent says plainly that it does not have that answer, takes the caller's name and number, logs what they asked in their own words, and passes it to you. It does not guess a price, invent a policy, or agree to something you never agreed to. Every unanswered question is stored with the caller's exact wording, and reading that log after the first fortnight is a useful half hour, because it is an unfiltered record of what your callers want that you have never published anywhere. Those become your twenty-first FAQ onwards, and adding them is a WhatsApp message rather than a project. Agent tuning and behaviour changes are covered by the Care Plan, which is required for the first three months of a founding build at the ₹5,000/month founding rate.

How much does it cost to set up and train an AI receptionist in India?

Dvaarik's one-time build is ₹40,000 list and is currently free for its 10 founding clients, in return for keeping the Care Plan at ₹5,000/month for the first three months and giving an honest testimonial plus a short case study after go-live. Talk time is then from ₹2 per billed minute with no subscription and no minimum volume, plus ₹2,000 per 30 days if Dvaarik supplies the phone number. The minimum first credit load is ₹10,000, billed ₹11,800 with 18% GST. On an illustrative first month that ₹10,000 covers the ₹2,000 number recharge, the ₹5,000 Care Plan, about ₹72 of pre-launch test calls and ₹1,200 of live talk time at 600 billed minutes, leaving roughly ₹1,728 carried forward. Across the three founding months the run rate at 600 minutes is about ₹8,200 a month, so a top-up is due before month two ends. From month four the Care Plan becomes optional and the same business is at about ₹3,200 a month — or ₹1,200 if your operator supports forwarding your existing business number to the agent instead of taking a Dvaarik number.

Can I change the answers later, and what does that cost?

Yes. Changing an answer is a WhatsApp message to Dvaarik, and verifying the change costs only the re-test calls — 15 minutes of re-testing is ₹30 of talk time at ₹2 per billed minute. The tuning work itself sits inside the Care Plan, which is ₹12,000/month list and ₹5,000/month at the founding rate locked for six months, required for the first three months and optional from month four. If you plan to drop the Care Plan from month four, ask what a change costs before you drop it — Dvaarik will not publish a figure here it has not committed to, and that question belongs on WhatsApp.

How many FAQs does an AI receptionist actually need?

Twenty answers is the working set Dvaarik builds from, and that is a design choice rather than a measured optimum. The reason it is enough to launch with is structural: an agent needs a rule for every situation, not an answer for every question. One of the 20 covers what the agent says when it does not know, and another covers what it must never answer whatever it is asked — between them, those two handle every question you did not anticipate. The FAQs you were missing then arrive on their own, in the log of questions callers asked that the agent could not answer, and each one can be added the week it is first heard.

Will it answer in Telugu and Hindi if I give my answers in English?

The agent handles the 22 scheduled Indian languages plus English and code-mixed speech such as Hinglish, Tenglish and Tanglish, switching mid-sentence rather than asking the caller to press a key to choose a language. The answers you supply are the same answers in every language it speaks — you give Dvaarik the facts and the boundaries once, in whatever language you are comfortable speaking, and they apply across the languages your callers use. Indian languages and English are on the ₹2/min Bharat Standard rate; a Global voice for a non-Indian language is ₹4–5/min. Test this yourself before go-live by switching language mid-sentence on a test call, which is call number 8 on the pre-launch list on this page.
