Most WhatsApp campaign tools stop at delivery. They help you send a template to a list, then your inbox floods with replies that nobody can answer fast enough. The useful version is a campaign plus AI replies: send the message, answer every response, qualify serious buyers, book slots, and collect payment links.
Use your own audience only
The right audience is your own customers, enquiries, members, subscribers, or leads who contacted your business. Do not buy random lists. Purchased-list blasting damages trust and creates spam risk. A good campaign is relevant, expected, and easy to opt out of.
Template plus reply automation
A campaign has two halves. The template gets the message delivered: sale announcement, appointment reminder, event invite, menu drop, renewal notice, or festival offer. The AI reply flow handles what happens next: questions, objection handling, booking, payment link, reschedule, or human handoff.
Campaign examples
| Business | Campaign | AI reply goal |
|---|---|---|
| Salon | Weekday offer | Book slot and collect deposit |
| Clinic | Follow-up camp | Book consultation or reminder |
| Restaurant | Festival menu | Take party enquiry or preorder |
| Gym | Renewal reminder | Confirm renewal or trial slot |
| Real estate | Site visit weekend | Qualify and book visit |
The message should be short; the conversation can do the selling.
Measure campaign quality
Track delivered, replied, qualified, booked, paid, unsubscribed, and escalated. Delivery rate alone is not enough. A campaign that gets fewer replies but more bookings is better than a campaign that creates noise for your staff.
Dvaarik campaign setup
Dvaarik helps structure the offer, prepare the approved template, connect your own contact list, define AI reply rules, and route serious leads. Replies can book appointments, send payment links, call the customer, or write outcomes to a lead sheet. See the WhatsApp automation page and AI employee campaign page.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need Meta approval before sending a WhatsApp campaign, and how long does that take?
Yes — the outgoing campaign message must be a template approved by Meta in advance, but the AI replies afterwards need no approval at all. You submit the template under a category (marketing, utility or authentication), Meta reviews it, and any later edit to the wording means resubmitting it for review. That is why we write and file templates with you before launch day rather than on the morning of the campaign. Once a customer replies, the conversation is free-form for the next 24 hours, so the AI can answer questions, quote, book or send a payment link in normal language without any template at all.
What does a WhatsApp campaign to 2,000 of my contacts actually cost me?
There are two separate bills, and only one of them is ours. Meta bills your own WhatsApp account directly for the template conversations at their current rate card — Dvaarik adds zero markup and never touches that money, so the send cost is whatever Meta charges you. On our side you pay only for conversations the AI actually handles, at ₹2 per conversation covering a 24-hour window: if 250 of those 2,000 people reply, that is 250 × ₹2 = ₹500 from your credit balance. If the AI also phones a few hot leads, add voice at ₹2 per minute, whole-minute billing. Meta's side of the maths is broken down in WhatsApp Business API cost in India; ours is on pricing.
Can I run campaigns on the same WhatsApp number my staff already use on their phones?
Yes — your existing business number can run campaigns and AI replies while your team keeps using the WhatsApp app on the same number. This is coexistence: the AI answers in the shared thread, and your staff can open the same chat and take over by typing normally. You do not have to buy a fresh number, print new cards, or ask customers to save a different contact, which matters when the old number is already on your signboard and Google listing. Setup details are on the WhatsApp agent page.
What happens if a customer replies three days after the campaign was sent?
The AI still answers, but the mechanics change once the 24-hour window has closed. Inside 24 hours of the customer's last message the agent replies in free-form language — questions, pricing, booking, payment link, anything. After that window lapses, reopening the conversation needs an approved template again, so the agent sends a short approved re-engagement message and, when the customer responds to it, a fresh 24-hour window opens and normal conversation resumes. In practice a late reply is not lost; it just costs one more template conversation on your Meta account.
How do I stop my number getting reported as spam or losing its quality rating?
The single biggest protection is that we only send to your own contacts — customers, enquiries, members, past bookings — never a purchased or scraped list. Beyond that: keep the template relevant to what that person actually did with your business, include a clear way to opt out, honour stop requests immediately and permanently, do not send the same offer repeatedly, and keep sends inside sensible hours. We also set escalation rules so an annoyed or complicated reply is routed to you as a human rather than argued with by an agent. Quality rating is set by how recipients react, so a smaller relevant list beats a bigger indifferent one every time.
Is this worth automating if I only have around 150 customer numbers?
Honestly, probably not yet — you should send that campaign yourself. At 150 contacts and maybe 20 replies, the AI-reply side costs about 20 × ₹2 = ₹40, which is nothing next to the fixed costs of a build (the ₹5,000/month Care Plan at the founding rate, required for the first three months). Twenty replies is an evening's work for one person, and a human will handle them better. Automated campaigns start earning their place when the list is large enough that replies genuinely pile up faster than staff can answer, or when you run them repeatedly month after month. If your real leak is unanswered phone calls rather than unanswered WhatsApp replies, tell us that instead — the pilot page is where we work out which leak to fix first.
The future of WhatsApp campaigns is not bigger broadcasts. It is campaigns that answer back, qualify demand, and complete the next action while the customer is interested.
Send us one campaign idea and your current contact list columns. We will show the reply flow before anything is sent.
