No-Show

A no-show is when a customer books an appointment and then doesn't turn up without canceling. For salons and clinics that rely on manual reminders, empty chairs from no-shows are one of the biggest invisible revenue leaks.

In depth

No-shows happen when a booked customer does not arrive and does not cancel in time for the business to reuse the slot. They are especially painful for salons, clinics, gyms, studios, and consultation-led services because staff time, room capacity, and peak-hour inventory disappear quietly. The preventable pattern is usually the same: no reminder, no easy reschedule link, no deposit, and no automatic follow-up when the slot becomes empty. The practical fix is a no-show loop: send a WhatsApp reminder 24 hours before the booking, collect a small UPI deposit for high-value slots, send a same-day reminder, offer one-tap rescheduling, and reopen cancelled slots automatically. Dvaarik builds this into booking workflows so the AI receptionist can confirm appointments, collect deposits, remind customers, and fill the slot again when someone cancels.
